In the health base park, nearly 300 health medicine enterprises formed by the industrial vortex attracted the arrival of high-end health medicine industry talent.

Entering 2019, with the increasing demand for skilled workers, Nan Cheng Electrical of Huangpu Town, Zhongshan City, began to focus on recruiting skilled workers for technical colleges and universities, with the average age of workers adjusted downward from 40 years old to about 30 years old, with a clear trend of rejuvenation. Located in the Torch Development Zone of the National Health Science and Technology Industrial Base, about 30 minutes drive from the city centre of Zhongshan. Pan Honghui, president of Kangsheng Bio, studied and worked overseas when he was young, and returned to China at the age of 30 to work as chief scientist at Haizheng Pharmaceuticals. 2018, he and his colleague, Yuan Jun, met Wu Fan, who has rich management experience in the medium industry, and decided to start a new business together as soon as they saw each other.

In last year's "3.28" investment conference in Zhongshan City, they officially signed a contract to settle down. "We chose Zhongshan because of its location in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. We hope to use Zhongshan as our springboard to the world." Pan Honghui said. From the statistical bulletin, Zhongshan City in 2018, the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry growth of 11.6%, medical equipment and instrumentation manufacturing industry growth of 16.4%, health and medicine industry is rapidly developing into a new growth pole of strategic emerging industries. The development speed of the industry and the completeness of the industry chain determine its attractiveness to high-end talents.

Kangfang Bio, which focuses on the research and development of new antibody drugs, was founded in 2012 by four returnee doctors, including Xia Yu; Tengfei Genetics, which focuses on non-invasive prenatal genetic monitoring, was founded in 2014 by Yang Chingyong and other returnee doctors; and Kangyuan Genetics, which focuses on the manufacture of gene chips, was founded in 2014 by Cai Weiwen and other doctors. These science and technology-based enterprises, with their high growth, have swept a new generation of industrial talents like a whirlwind, rewriting the colour of Zhongshan's health industry army.

In 2018, Zhongshan City accepted a total of 13,871 talents to enter the household, with 16,159 people, accounting for more than half of the total number of households in the city; and new high-level talent identified 641 people, including 450 people at the seventh level, a record high.

Industrial development accelerates the gathering of talents, and the arrival of high-level talents enhances technological competitiveness. From the health medicine industry to high-end equipment manufacturing industry, new generation information technology industry, the arrival of high-end industrial talents to enhance the city's technological competitiveness, another set of data from the statistical bulletin can be corroborated: in 2018, the city's patent application volume of 49,041, an increase of 16%; patent authorisation volume of 34,114, an increase of 24%, the rate of technological competitiveness enhancement is changing day by day.
